AfroTalks, the influential thought leadership platform spotlighting African innovation, resilience, and voice, has officially unveiled its speaker lineup for the much-anticipated 2025 edition, themed “HOW”.

The event is set to take place on Saturday, 24th May 2025 at the University of Ghana School of Law, critical introspection, and transformative African storytelling.

This year’s theme, HOW, triggers audiences to interrogate global systems, unpack complex realities and spotlight the strategies and stories behind African resilience and progress.

AfroTalks aims to inspire spaces for dialogues that amplify the African stories by Africans, ignite the African Dream and drive sustainable community impact.

The event features a stellar and diverse lineup of speakers and panelists including: Frank Love – Author, Diallo Sumbry – CEO; Adinkra Group, Dr. Ashley Milton – Founder; She Grows It, Prince Akpah – Pan-African Solidarity Lead; Africans Rising, Okyeame Kwame – Musician & Artivist, Dr. Stephen Moore – Researcher & Innovator, Florence Adu – Social Entrepreneur, H.E. Rosemary Mbabazi – Rwandan High Commissioner to Ghana, Gabriel Appiah – Director, BTL Africa and Farouk Al Wahab – Policy Advisor, AU Diaspora Forum In addition to mind-blowing ideas and stories from forward-thinking speakers on live stage, there would be intriguing panel discussions on social issues, creativity, global politics and the African Dream.

AfroTalks 2025 supports a showcase for small businesses at the Made in Africa Expo. One of the central highlights is the Brain Drain Panel, which will delve into the repercussions of Africa’s talent exodus.

The panel, hosted by Emmanuel Kwaku Owusu Larbi, features human rights activist Oliver Barker-Vormawor, diaspora policy advisor Farouk Al-Wahab, former World Vision Africa director Kofi Hagan, and Emmaline Datey, founder of ICS Africa.

Together, they will explore the silent costs of migration, the cultural narratives that fuel it, and bold ideas for reversing the trend. “We’ve talked about the 'why' of Africa’s challenges.
