IBF Bantamweight Champion, Joseph Agbeko, expects to unify the titles in his weight division before the close of the year.
Agbeko returned from the US earlier Wednesday where he beat Australian Vic Darchinyan in his second successful defence of the IBF crown.
The Ghanaian champ has offers to fight holders of the WBA, WBC and WBO champions in the Bantamweight division and he relishes the challenge.
While waiting on his promoter to fix a new date for his fight, Agbeko said he would pick the best of three proposals being offered him.
“We go for the better deal,” he said.
Meanwhile the Deputy Minister for Sports Nii Nortey Dua believes improvement in boxing facilities in Ghana will produce world champions.
He said plans are far advanced to put up gymnasiums around the country to help churn out the best quality boxers for the country.
