The Association of Ghana Industry (AGI) has once again taken a giant lead in the technology advancement by introducing the Mobile Application technology.
The AGI Mobile App is a software application developed and designed by Innoactive, a German website and mobile app firm specifically for use on android and smart phones as well as tablets.
During the launch, the President of the Association, Mr James Asare - Adjei stated that ‘Today, businesses have become dependent on technology to the extent that if we were to take away that technology virtually all business operations around the globe would come to a grinding halt. Almost all businesses are dependent on technology on all levels from research and development, production and all the way to delivery. Businesses depend on technology to help them with their business needs ranging from Point of Sales systems, information management systems capable of handling all kinds of information such as employee profile, client profile, accounting and tracking, automation systems, package sorting, assembly lines, all the way to marketing and communications. It is also very important to add that almost all businesses and industries around the globe are using technology devices ranging from computers, tablets, notes and mobile phones to the most complex of operations’.
He continued ‘It is estimated that about 90% of business operators uses mobile phones and about 80% of the mobile phone users uses smart , android, tablets and therefore the introduction of the mobile app technology played a key role in the growth of commerce and trade around the world. It for these reasons that AGI in partnership with the BDI have introduced this app to make information accessible and available to businesses and industries’.
‘The introduction of this app in Ghana is a breakthrough and has come at a very opportune moment when business need information to make strategic decisions’. Without this technology the idea of globalization wouldn’t have become a reality. The AGI Mobile App help members, non members, policies makers, media houses, the general public to access information on business news, surveys and research, event, the potential to go international through the use of the internet.
The application is also a marketing tool that allows businesses to reach clients across the length and breadth of Ghana with just a click of a button. AGI believes that this technology will help businesses to grow and expand in ways never thought possible.
The AGI Mobile AGI is ensuring that it is up to date with technology because is App which would will provide users and subscribers with information on AGI activities, business news, business surveys, global issues, events etc.
Members, the business community and the general public can download the Mobile App on all smart phones and tablets as follows:
1. Touch the Play Store Icon on your smart phone or tablet to open the Play Store
2. Type AGI Ghana in the search box
3. Touch the AGI Icon in the displayed list
4. Touch the Install Button to initiate installation of the AGI App
5. Touch the Accept Button to continue the installation
6. Touch the Open Button to load the AGI App
