Some youth of Agogo are asking government to explain the reasons for the removal of the Municipal Chief Executive of Asante Akyem, Thomas Osei Bonsu from office.
They suspect some persons opposed to the ejection of Fulani herdsmen men from Agogo land are behind his dismissal.
The chairman of the Agogo Youth Association, Emmanuel Buabeng, described the dismissal of Mr. Osei Bonsu as strange, describing him as someone who has been at the forefront of the fight against the nomads.
The MCE and three other chief executives got the sack last week.
When Luv FM’s Kwabena Ampratwum asked if he wanted the MCE reinstated, Mr Buabeng replied: “As for that one I cannot say that because he (the president) appointed him and he has the authority to sack him; but all that we are saying is, if it is because of the Fulani herdsmen that is why he is sacking him, then we beg of him.”
