A flagbearer aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen has called on delegates of the party to elect a flagbearer who is capable of winning power for the party.
His call, he added, is based on his conviction that the NPP cannot afford to lose the 2016 elections.
“I can win votes from floating voters especially from the youth and women to enable us win power…,” he boasted at a news conference on Friday.
About a hundred and forty-one thousand delegates from the party across the country, would Saturday, October 18, vote to elect a flagbearer.
The delegates would have to choose between Kyerematen, Nana Akuffo-Addo and Francis Addai Nimoh, who made the cut after a special delegates conference organised on August 31, 2014.
Since the special delegates conference, Mr. Kyerematen has re-iterated his quest to empower the grassroots of the party if offered the opportunity, a promise which has attracted lots of criticism from his opponents.
“My motor and bicycle promise to delegates is not for inducement, I just think delegates deserve support to work effectively and efficiently…,” he stated.
These equipment he said, are part of the logistics he will provide if offered the opportunity to lead the party in the 2016 elections.
