Black Stars goalkeeper Richard Ofori is in South Africa with the hope of attracting a club in the Premier Soccer League to acquire his services.
Ofori is currently on the books of WA All Stars and was instrumental in their incredible Ghana Premier League title success.
But the shot-stopper has landed in the rainbow nation seeking a new challenge. He arrived on Tuesday morning after warming the bench in Ghana’s 2-0 defeat at Egypt. He flew straight from Cairo after the game.
According to his representative Thembela Maliwa, the goalkeeper will spend some few days in South Africa, searching for a new club.
“Yes, Richard Ofori landed in the country on Tuesday morning, with the hope of getting a contract. He is the current national team goalkeeper of Ghana.’’
‘’He plays for Wa All Stars FC of Ghana. They are the champions of the league in Ghana. We had a few calls enquiring about him from other countries in Europe.’’
But we felt that maybe it would be good for him to start in the PSL. He is still 23 years old,” said Maliwa.
