A collection of musicians, calling itself United Voices for Volta (UVV), will stage a virtual concert on Saturday, November 4, to raise funds in support of victims of the recent Akosombo Dam spillage.
Artistes billed to perform at the concert include Amandzeba, XLNC & Short Man (Squages), Paulina Oduro, Abiana, Jahwi, Ibrahim Badingu, Big Twins, Rebai Uhuru and Qshan Deya.
They will all be backed by the Native Orchestra Band.
The performances, which are also meant to raise more awareness about the situation in the affected areas, will come off at 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm at Silicon House, Tesano in Accra.
The event will go live on the Nativebrew YouTube channel.
“We’ll have some guests in the studio at Silicon House but we urge everyone else to watch and donate to help those in discomfort as a result of the spillage from the dam,” Amandzeba said.
He commended Silicon House Productions for providing facilities for the concert.
