Barely 48 hours after 15 people had been killed and many others injured following a collision by Yutong buses on the Kumasi-Techiman highway, there has been another car crash on the same road near the first accident spot.
Once again, a Yutong commercial bus was involved and the accident occurred at Abofour Camp at about 0400 hours on Thursday.
Ten people including drivers of both vehicles sustained serious injuries and are on admission at the Saint Patrick's Hospital. Their condition is said to be critical.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Albert Quansah, Commander of the Offinso Divisional Police Motor Traffic and Transport Unit, told the Ghana News Agency that the Yutong bus was travelling from Pusiga in the Upper East to Kumasi.
On reaching a spot near Abofour Camp the driver attempted to overtake another vehicle and in the process run into the truck, belonging to the Latex Foam Company.
The bus fell on its side into a ditch.
