Officials of the Health Ministry say the Appellate body working on the new salary structure for health workers has submitted its report to the Minister for Health.
The report was submitted on Tuesday, a day after the 26th March deadline agreed by the National labour Commission.
The new pay structure is expected to correct disparities in the salaries of health sector workers.
The appellate body was set up last year to review the salary structure of health workers following agitations on their front that culminated in many strike actions.
Health Ministry officials are tight-lipped on the report except to say that it has been forwarded to Cabinet.
