The Appolonia City project team, in partnership with the Appolonia Community, has embarked on a 4km health walk around the project site.
The walk was attended by community members and other partners.
Speaking at the beginning of the event, Chief of Appolonia Nii Nuertey Amobi II said, “We must recognize the assistance that Appolonia City has brought to the area and its encouragement in us leading healthy lives. Good health is important to all generations of our community, and this initiative should become a habit for the future.”
The event concluded with a free medical screening session at the Appolonia Health Centre, which was renovated and upgraded by the company in 2014.

The screening tests covered a number of health issues including routine blood tests and checks for body mass index and diabetes. The well-attended event was accompanied by a brass band and local entertainment.
“As partners on the project, the team at Appolonia City has a keen interest in the health of the Appolonia Community,” said Bright Owusu-Amofah, CFO of Appolonia City.
He added that the event was another opportunity to “strengthen the existing bond between the community and project sponsors in order to ensure that they develop together.”
