The Ark Medical Centre located in Abeka Lapaz in the Greater Accra Region has distributed hand sanitisers to some essential service providers and residents within its operational area.
Pharm Stephen Boadu Appiah Jnr, Managing Director of Ark Medical Centre said, "the coronavirus pandemic is wreaking havoc the world over and government is doing its best. We must all do our part and everyone has to contribute."

"As a health facility, we felt we should support our clients and the community at large.
"We started with distributing nose masks and tablets of vitamin C to our clients and climaxed it with this venture, distributing 3000 bottles of hand sanitizers to the community and essential service providers"

At the Tesano Police Station, Chief Inspector Kofi Rashid who received the items noted that as the country goes into lockdown, ‘it's important to remember those who would be risking their lives to ensure compliance."
"We have to protect those who protect us,’ he said.
Some essential services providers like fuel stations and restaurants workers also received some of the hand sanitisers.
The team also set up at vantage locations within the community in which it operates to distribute some of the hand sanitisers to residents and passers-by.
Gloria Wettey Boadu, the Deputy Director of the facility urged all to put their shoulders to the wheel and support those who need help so the virus is contained and eventually eliminated.
