Asante Akim Central Constituency has partnered Aseda Foundation to train interested constituents in different fields of artisanship.
The free five-day workshop which starts from 17th-21st July, 2023 will take place at Station Bar (club 555) in Konongo.
Constituents would be trained in areas such as soap making, pastry making, fascinator making, beads making, modern trending styles in hairdressing, dressmaking and many more.

In an interview with the Municipal Chief Executive Officer of the area, Robert Yaw Kwakye, he said the main brain behind the training is to help the members to acquire certain skills so that they can become independent.
“If we are able to train members of the constituency in certain areas in the artisanship, it will create employment for them and also make them independent in this life,” he stated.

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Aseda Foundation, Rev. Bernard Kwapong Owusu-Agyei, advised the youth in the area to take advantage of the opportunity to better their future.
“Life is how you make it. I will urge all the youth in this area to be serious about this training, you can’t rely on only one income in this modern world, come and let’s train you so that you can get a side business,“ he added.
Aseda Foundation is a Sekondi-Takoradi based NGO with the main aim of training, especially the Ghanaian youth in different artisanal fields.
