Great Olympics coach Godwin Attram has vowed to resign should the rumoured decision of replacing him withSwedish trainer Tom Strand come into reality.
Olympics risk making a swift return to the second tier league after only two wins in 10 games and lying in a precarious place on the league log. Their plight was compounded on Monday when they lost 2-1 at home to Aduana Stars in an outstanding league match
And Tom Strand is preferred by the management to take over the reigns and turn around the club's fortunes
But Attram, who took the team from the labour-laden Division One League to premiership acting as player-coach, has said he cannot work with Tom Strand.
''I cannot work with Tom Strand, if I will have to work with him, then I will resign from club both as a coach and player as well, I have communicated my decision to management if they should go ahead with the appointment of Strand as head coach,'' Attram said in a post-match interview.
''I believe in what am doing for the club, I’ve learnt from top coaches during my professional career and numerous coaches on the local scene have also been helpful to my course.
''I entreat management to be supportive to my course and hopefully things will get better for Olympics.''
