Black Stars Deputy Skipper and Swansea City new sensation says he feels a huge responsibility to help the Premiership side to make meaningful impact in the 2015-2016 seasons.
Andre Dede Ayew has taken the English Premier League by storm in his first season which has seen him net three goals, with one assist for his club.
The former Olympique de Marseille kin-pin has received effusive praise from world renowned and retired footballers like Thierry Henry and Jamie Redknapp, as well as some pundits for his sterling performance so far.
“They’re giving me a lot of responsibilities in the team, so I just need to continue working hard and give out my best on the field of play,” the 25-year-old told Joy Sports’ Benedict Owusu in Kigali, Rwanda, where the Stars won a Cup of Nations qualifier.
Dede Ayew added: "You know the league is not easy as it’s the best league in the world. The most important thing is that we (Swansea City) should continue with our performance. We have to continue working hard as we have a very great squad with good players. They’re helping me out and really pushing me to become a better player,” he said.
Andre Ayew moved to Swansea City from Marseille in a four- year deal, and has since consolidated his position as an integral member of Garry Monk’s set-up.
He's been nominated for the EPL's August player of the month award.
