B.A. United on Wednesday played themselves into contention for a return to the Premier League after winning their second fixture in the play-offs.
A slim 1-0 victory over Real Tamale United at the Robert Mensah Stadium handed the Brong Ahafo side the upper hand in the qualifying campaign ahead of the final fixtures on Saturday.
Major Baah Tetteh scored the decisive match winner after the 75th minute in Cape Coast.
B.A. United sit at the top of the standings with a comfortable 6 points, three more than their closest contenders, Berekum Arsenal, who moved into second place.
A point from their final game against Wa African Utd will secure them a return to the top-flight after a decade in the lower ranks.
Arsenal recorded their first win after thumping Wa African Utd 4-0 in the other qualifying game at the Essipon Stadium.
Fimms Kwakye and Abdul H. Ishmaeli scored in between Mohammed Hamza brace.
