The Deputy Minister for Employment and Labour Relations Bright Wireko-Brobby is assuring Ghanaians of better days.

Speaking during the annual delegates conference of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the constituency, the Hemang Lower Denkyira MP expressed confidence things will get better soon.

“Even though the Covid-19 pandemic has been a thorn in our flesh, I say, our government is on course and very soon, we all will smile at the storm. This too shall surely pass,” Mr Wireko-Brobby told the delegates.

The annual delegates conference brought New Patriotic Party members together in various constituencies to take stock of work that has been done over the last year and plan the way forward.

Two separate meetings were held in the Hemang Lower Denkyira Constituency. The first was at the Jukwa Methodist Church for towns in the first zone, and the second was at the Forever Young Conference Room in Twifo Hemang for communities in the second zone.

The deputy minister urged party members to continue working hard for the NPP. “I appreciate and continue to urge you all not to let your guards down but to fasten your girdle so we can build a better future as we remain resolute in working assiduously in this Covid-19 era for the betterment of all,” he told the delegates.

Mr. Wireko-Brobby expressed gratitude to the party for the support that has allowed him to represent the constituents in Parliament for two consecutive terms.

“The confidence reposed in me really energizes and makes me stronger to delightedly serve my dear delegates, party and constituents at large in humility,” he said.

He told the delegates so much has been achieved over the last seven months in the NPP’s second term in office in the constituency.

“In the health sector, Mr Chairman, I have the singular honour to report to delegates that it took my effort and sweat to secure and make our prestigious district a benefactor of the popular Agenda 111 hospital facilities, which were rolled out a few days ago,” he said.

Mr. Wireko-Brobby also told the delegates he had donated laptops to all health facilities in the district through the District Health Directorate to help ensure ease in the processing and storage of sensitive data.

In the education sector, he said sods have been cut to pave way for the construction of 6 unit ultra-modern classroom blocks and bungalows for the Jukwa Senior High School and Hemang Senior High Technical School.

He said the Jukwa to Jukwa Krobo road, a major road in the enclave had been awarded to a contractor to construct, and another major road from Paaso through Nyamebekyere to Atwereboada is also under construction. He said other roads in the area will be fixed soon.
