Former Black stars defender Yaw Acheampong has been appointed assistant coach of premier league side Ashanti Gold.The former Tema Youth tactician he will support head coach Zdravko Logarusic to improve the club’s performance in the ongoing Glo premier league.Ashanti Gold officially confirmed the appointment of the former Tema Youth coach to replace Kamara Dini who has been reassigned to take charge of the youth team of the club.Yaw Acheampong told joy sports that, he will support the head coach in any capacity to help improve the performance of the team.“I’m also bringing on board my knowledge to support Logarusic, together we can do something and I believe this will work out”.Yaw Acheampong captained Ashanti gold for three seasons before leaving for Spain to pursue his international career.
