The Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Johnson P. Asiama, has cautioned that the ongoing war in the Middle East could negatively affect Ghana’s inflation if the conflict continues.
Speaking at an international conference organised by GEXIM to mark the bank’s 10th anniversary, Dr Asiama said while he hopes the hostilities will end soon, the central bank has put in place measures to mitigate any potential impact on the country’s financial system.
