A bomb scare at the British High Commission in Ghana created panic and led to a temporary hold up of work for about 15 minutes.
Workers at the Commission as well as visa applicants were ordered to vacate the premises to enable a team of specialists from the Ghana National Fire Service to conduct a search in the building.
Joy News’ Sammy Darko said official were not prepared to comment on the issue obviously for security reasons.
He said the Ghana Institute of Journalism which is opposite the British High Commission was affected by the bomb alert.
According to him students and staff of the institute ran out the school’s premises to observe what was happening.
Normalcy has however returned to the area while officers of the Fire Service are still in the building of Commission.
