Ashesi University crowned its eight league champion after an intriguing set of games which saw the winners decided on the final day of league action.
It was a decisive day in both the bottom and top half of the league as team played for their final positions on the league log.
The first game of the weekend was between LOL (League of Legends) and Highlanders.
This match was to decide who finished fourth and fifth on the log in what was an abysmal season for both sides. The Black and White of LOL scored their first goals of league campaign through Joseph Akyin and Daniel Bempah to ensure they won 2-0. This victory meant LOL leapfrogged Highlanders in the league to finish fourth.

GOALS-Joseph Akyin, Daniel Bempah. ASSISTS- Derek Acheampong.
The second game of the day was to decide the title was between Red Army and Kasanoma. And Red Army walked out 4-0 winners at the end of the 60 minute match. The game started off with Kasanoma squandering 2 chances in the first minute and duly paid the price five minutes later with Red Army capitalizing from a corner with Elvis Amposel knocking home the first goal of the game. The match went into recess at 1-0 but Red Army provided a masterclass in attacking in the second half providing a swashbuckling display combined with speed and flair to tear their opponents apart with three goals.

The Reds showed their class by scoring two goals in the space of a minute before finding a fourth in the latter stages of the game to add gloss to the scoreline. The trio of Philip Owusu Afriyie, Peter Plange and Samuel Maision tore teams apart with their constant skills, pace and trickery and their combination could be likened to the famous MSN trident of Barcelona.
Red Army is Ashesi University’s most successful club having claimed their fifth league title out of eight attempts after an imperious streak of performances which saw the Reds sweep past all their opponents.
The team which has been built around hard work, team ethic and discipline have maintained a winning habit since its inception in 2010.
They have also won two FA Cup titles in three attempts.
