An educational consultancy firm, Caroline Group of Companies is set to begin the initiatives targeted at alleviating the plight of female prisoners as women in Ghana’s prisons.

According to Chief Executive Officer, Caroline Esinam Adzogble the move is to ensure that these female prisoners have a better shot at life behind bars as many of them were detained over circumstances beyond their control.

This forms part of the group’s novel programmes to be executed this year to improve the lives of the Ghanaian in the space of education and women empowerment.

Speaking at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra, the CEO told the press that prisoners reforms will be at the heart of the new phase of her company with menstrual hygiene at its core.

“When you listen to the stories of many women in the prisons, a lot of them are unable to afford basic sanitary pads and no woman actually deserves to use a cloth or for their menstruation. So I have taken it upon myself to provide the basic sanitary pads and products.

“I will be starting with the Nsawam prisons and I will continue to other prisons across the globe. I will also be doing donations of beauty items to the ladies in some of these prisons,” Ms Adzogble explained June 26, 2020.

In addition to the commitment which will begin in July, the 28-year-old CEO revealed that she also intends to assist female inmates pay fines to grant them their freedom to return to their families.

“I intend to pay some fines to get certain people out of prisons. That’s just for the women’s prisons,” she said.

Caroline Adzogble also encouraged women to persevere in their various fields of endeavor and desist from emulating flashy display of wealth on social media adding that hard work is the ultimate assurance of success.

The provision of scholarships for students across the country also forms part of the Caroline Group’s vision going forward. As part of her upcoming nationwide tour of senior high schools country, the educational consultant will see to the rollout of an excellence awards scheme that will award 100 brilliant but needy students to improve their educational fortunes and bridge the gap in Ghana’s education sector.

She also announced other upcoming initiatives including a Caroline TV and Radio show, and When Women Succeed conference.
