An Accra High Court has adjourned the case involving an application for an interlocutory injunction on the National Democratic Congress (NDC)' congress to December 18.

Afram Plains Member of Parliament and national organizer aspirant Emmanuel Aboagye Didieye is suing the party for what he describes as an orchestrated attempt to disqualify him.

Emmanuel Didieye was one of six persons cited by the party’s General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia of withdrawing from the 20^th December congress of the party to elect its national executives.

Mr. Didieye rejected that claim and sued the party after he detected that his name and photo were left out of the national organizer ballot.

The case was called in court today but lawyer for Didieyie, Bright Obeng, argued that his client was not served with the response of the defendant on time for them to study it and make an informed argument in court

Joy News’ Kwakye Afreh Nuamah who was in court reports that the counsel also explained that his client was not placing injunction on the entire congress but the national organizer position.

Kojogah Adawud, lawyer for the ruling NDC claimed the defendant’s response was retrieved from the plaintiff’s own filing forms, indicating no intention to ambush him since the plaintiff is already abreast with the content he filed in court.

He prayed the court to give its ruling before 19^th December 2014 to enable the congress to go on on December 20.

The Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, George Lawson is also reported to have said the party took a decision against the MP because he failed to satisfy the party with regards to the filling of his forms.

After attempts to get the party to reverse the decision, Didieye went to court to reverse what he described as unlawful disqualification of his candidature.
