The Census Secretariat says it is pleased with the conduct of yesterday’s census exercise despite the security and logistical constraints in parts of the country.
But it was almost marred by pockets of confusion in parts of the country. In the Kassena Nankana West District for instance, there were reports of threats of attacks on enumerators.
Other enumerators also had difficulty carrying out their duties because they had no ID cards.
However, Media and Communications Officer of the statistical service, Michael Adu Gyamfi has told Joy News the issues are being investigated for appropriate action.
He asked enumerators to go about their duties without fear of being attacked because there is adequate police protection for them.
