The Chief of Defence Staff, Peter Augustine Blay has been elevated to the position of Lieutenant-General.
Previously Major-General, Peter Augustine Blay's promotion takes immediate effect.
President J.E.A. Mills, who is the Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces took the decision on the advice of the Ghana Armed Forces Council, according to a statement signed by the Secretary to the President, J.K. Bebaako-Mensah.
