Some children in the capital cannot wait for this year’s JOY FM Party in the Park and have already begun the countdown to the event. This year the event which will take place at the Legon Botanical Gardens will be held on twenty second of September. It will be full of fun with various sporting disciplines such as video games, sack race, lime and spoon, and musical chairs. Being the nation’s biggest outdoor family oriented event, over four hundred families are expected to participate. Some children who spoke to Joynews are already bubbling with excitement and are looking forward to spend quality time with their parents and compete with other families. “My mummy and daddy have to buy ticket so I can be part of it (the event), said one child. Another added that: “I like the games, the bouncing castles, I like everything there; daddy will have to buy the ticket.”
