Members of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) have embarked on an indefinite nationwide strike starting Monday October 14.
The National Executives Committee instructed its members on Friday to lay down their tools in protest of unpaid allowances.
In a statement CLOGSAG accused the fair wages and salaries commission (FWSC) of stalling the arbitration process. Meanwhile, the FWSC tells joynews the demands of the CLOGSAG cannot be met because they do not exist. The labour group is demanding top up/ premium arrears.
Head of public relations at the FWSC Earl Ankrah intimated that CLOGSAG also failed to turn up for a meeting called today between
itself and National Labour Commission.
Efforts to reach executive members of CLOGSAG for comments have been unsuccessful
