Black Starlets coach Paa Kwasi Fabin is not shocked by news that several members of Nigeria's U17 team have failed age tests.
The Golden Eaglets will be without key players for the FIFA U17 World Cup in October after an MRI Scan test showed them to be over the age limit.
The squad, which finished as runners-up at this year's African Under-17 Championship in Morocco, underwent the age cheating test in Abuja to help determine their ages ahead of the upcoming World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
The Golden Eaglets defeated Ghana's Black Starlets 6-1 in the group stages of the tournament en route to the final.
Fabin whose technical team were accused of technical bankruptcy after that game in an interview with Joy sports stated he was not surprised at the news.
"I’m not surprised because I have worked as a youth coach for a very long time and when I saw the Nigerian team at the tournament, they were too old for the U17 age limit," said coach Fabin
"This shows that CAF has not been truthful to us and the MRI Scan they conducted on the Nigerian team before the tournament in Morocco was a fallacy.
"The guys we saw at the tournament were too old and I’m not shocked at all."
