Comedian SDK has announced the loss of his mother, Rebecca Oppong, with fans on social media.

The affable character born Sadik Sulley, broke the news on Twitter on Tuesday, January 31.

Sharing pictures of his mum, SDK wrote “lost my lovely mom…. Rest in peace Mama❤️.”

SDK, however, did not make known when she passed nor the cause of her death.

His mother’s death comes barely 14 months after his father Francis Sulley died.

Mr Sulley was announced dead on Wednesday, November 24, 2021.

SDK seemingly had a close relationship with his parents.

In the comedian’s first feature film, Blue Film, his parents starred alongside him, playing parents to his character.

Many celebrities and social media users commiserated with SDK after his announcement.

Sorry for your loss, brother.

It's sad that painful losses such as this are a part of life.

One of every good child's big dreams is to make their parents happy before their time is up.

Gladly, you've done that to some level at least.
