The Council of Ewe Associations of North America Inc. (CEANA) has made a cash donation of $1000 to Harlem Hospital Center in Harlem, New York.
This is in appreciation and support to the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Speaking on behalf of the President of CEANA Dr Tsatsu E. Nyamadi, Florence Lokko, the Financial Controller of CEANA said the donation is in line with the objectives of the Association in terms of getting involved in the welfare activities of its community.
“Harlem Hospital should accept this donation as a sign of our appreciation and we thank you all for helping the community fight against this deadly Covid-19 pandemic,” Lokko said.
Patrick Adzadu Public Relations Officer of the Association who presented the check assured the hospital that they expect to collaborate with them and form a lasting relationship to continue to support the hospital.
Mr Dawson Amoah who spoke on behalf of the Hospital after the presentation thanked the Association for their donation and their commitment to the community.
CEANA is a non-profit organization that provides advocacy and leadership towards the socioeconomic and cultural development of ‘Eweland.’
Their mission and priorities is to facilitate collaboration and networking among Ewes in North America (USA &Canada).
They also assist deprived communities through the facilitation of projects that target poverty alleviation, including building of schools, health facilities, and provision of potable water facilities.
CEANA also helps to provide educational assistance to deserving students to enhance their opportunities for career and leadership development and also promote small-scale entrepreneurship in rural communities of ‘Eweland.’
