A Takoradi District Magistrate's Court on Friday granted one thousand Ghana cedis bail with one surety each to 23 more persons alleged to have participated in the recent violent clashes during the Kundum festival at Princess Town/Aketekyie.
Thirty-one others were granted a similar bail by the court last week. The accused persons who are charged with rioting with offensive weapons, causing unlawful damage and causing unlawful harm are to re-appear on December 21 this year.
Mr Samuel Entee Junior, the Magistrate, cautioned the accused against taking advantage of the bail to engage in disturbances in their communities.
He said the bail would be revoked when he received reports from the
Police that they were causing trouble.
Mr Entee said the plea of the accused persons would be taken at the adjourned date and the facts of the case would also be given at that time.
