This year's Dashiki Fest festival was held under the motto “Present your tribe” and was intended to showcase the uniqueness and diversity of Ghana's culture.
The relevant themes and the opportunity to display traditional outfits attracted a record number of participants.
The July 6 event was as inclusive as possible, with all tribes and social groups in Ghana represented at Dashiki Fest, regardless of gender or age.
“The recent Dashiki Fest was the most successful of the 8 festivals held,” said MJ The Comedian, the festival's founder.
The renowned artist has a lot to compare to—he has done his best to develop his brainchild and has seen Dashiki Fest grow before his eyes. In 2023, MJ The Comedian found a trusted partner to help expand the festival's reach.
“1xBet involvement was exceptional,” said MJ The Comedian. “The brand ran a social media campaign where people could tag friends and follow our pages to win prizes. Their representatives were actively engaged with the crowd, handing out giveaways. Their banners were all around, and they played a key role in the celebration.”
Comical situation
Many people remember a funny moment when an elderly woman accidentally called the Dashiki Fest partner “1 BET X”. This demonstrates that even for the older generation, one of the best international betting sites has become a well-recognized brand.
Next Dashiki Fest will be even better
1xBet is pleased with the recent festival but is not resting on its laurels. The leading bookmaker in Africa plans to continue its involvement in the region's cultural life. Dashiki Fest 2024 highlighted the close connection between culture and economy. On one hand, the local businesses featured at the festival enriched the program, while on the other, their participation provided them with a valuable opportunity to increase their visibility and reach.
Bet sure: the next Dashiki Fest will impress the country even more. “In 2025, we plan to unveil the theme 'Introduce Your School' so that participants will present their alma mater. We are looking to expand our presence by promoting the festival in nearby regions, employing more advertising, and increasing visibility in both traditional and social media."
"We also consider inviting Ghana's greatest musicians for a grand concert. Perhaps we will expand the festival to two days, with one day dedicated to a participants' parade and the other to performances. We have already started planning and will surely delight our audience. I am grateful to 1xBet for its continuous support. We look forward to a long-lasting partnership that will benefit everyone,” said MJ The Comedian.
