Nii Noi Thompson will find out later Thursday whether he will be given an extended deal with Accra Hearts of Oak.
The former Hearts defender was handed responsibility of the side with seven games to go after Kosta Papic was fired.
Even though he eventually emerged with them as League champions, his record of five draws, one win and one loss had not endeared him much to the club's faithful.
But Thompson is confident he will get the nod of the club, whose board are meeting in Accra to take stock of the past season.
Vice-chairman Frank Nelson says the technical direction needs to strengthened and that it will be key on their agenda today.
Nelson says the favourite amongst some of the club's fans is former Kotoko coach Bashir Hayford, but insist no approach has been made yet.
“A lot of the fans look at what Bash did at Kotoko, the players he brought through and who have become household names and think he will be good for Hearts of Oak. We have, however, not taken any decisions yet and made no approach,” he told KickOffGhana.com.
