The return of Hearts living legend, Bernard Don Bortey, has caught the fancy of many as it is perceived the attacker will relive his glory days with the days.
Don Bortey made a goal scoring return for the club in a preseason friendly and that might have further strengthened his case to be given a contracr.
But board member Alhaji Akambi has asked the former Ghana youth international to fight for his place to earn a contract.
“Our recruitment is not yet done.”
“Bernard Don Bortey has to fight for a place in the club and justify himself.”
Both parties will be hoping to continue with this relationship which has proven fruitful in years past.
