A Former Rector of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Professor Stephen Adei has urged Christians to be skillful and knowledgeable in all aspects of their lives.
According to him, being knowledgeable and skillful will help Christians influence people in high places.
Prof. Adei made the comment at the opening of this year’s National Campus Congress organized by the Deeper Christian Life Ministry in Accra.
He noted that being timid as a Christians in any organization will give way to unbelievers to “take control and take decision for us”.
“Christians must build capacity, competence and they will go far. God is looking for men and women who know and abide in Him and when the time comes He will use them…reading the Bible and praying every day is the only condition for prosperity. If the Holy Spirit lives in us, sin will be foreign to us and that is what a Christian life should be…we must abide in Jesus, read the word and preach to others” he noted.
Prof. Adei urged the youth to eschew evil and seek the Kingdom of God to influence their generation in a positive way.
Also, the Acting National Overseer of the Deeper Life Church, Pastor E.K. Duodu also asked Ghanaians to pray earnestly towards the upcoming election.
He asked “countrymen and women to be law abiding and restrain from acts of violence and also urged the Media to be circumspect and discharge duties diligently”.
This year’s congress is dubbed ‘Dayspring’ 2016 and it is on the theme: “Supernatural visitation from on High”. It started on 27th July 2016 and it will end on 31st July, 2016. It is being held concurrently in Accra and Kumasi. In Accra, it is being held at the Church's headquarters, Anyaa and in Kumasi, it is being held at Brofoyedru.
