Several passengers have been rushed to the hospital after an accident involving three commercial vehicles- a Mercedes Benz Sprinter, OA executive bus and a Nissan Urvan bus- at the Avenor junction in Accra early Wednesday.
Speaking to Joy News at the scene, visibility patrol officer of the Police Service, ASP Henry Agyeman said driver of the sprinter bus was over speeding and was unable to slow down when the OA bus negotiated a curve into his lane.
It crushed into the side of the OA bus badly injuring all occupants on board leaving spots of blood in the middle of the road that leads to the Avenor industrial area.
All vehicles in involved in the crash were badly damaged but the sprinter vehicle was severely damaged with its windscreen smashed and the sides mangled.
All passengers were injured but those in the Sprinter bus were badly wounded and have been rushed to the hospital for treatment.
ASP Henry Agyeman said the case will be reported to the Tesano police station for further investigation.
