Finance Minister Dr Kwabena Duffour has moved to save a situation that could have badly affected the 2010 population census by the Ghana Statistical Service.
The workers on Wednesday went on a protest demanding better conditions of service.
Some of the workers also agitated for the removal of Government Statistician Dr Grace Bediako, saying she was insensitive to their plight.
But a committee set up by Dr Duffour should ensure closure is brought to the agitations.
The committee has been tasked to look into the demands of the workers and make recommendations.
Dr Duffour met with the leadership of the workers' union and assured them their concerns would be addressed.
Meanwhile the leader of the union, Robert Kwamena Mensah, tells Joy News they are satisfied with how the finance minister is handling the issue.
