Guinean Coach Michel Dussuyer says Ghana has in Asamoah Gyan, one of the most lethal strikers in the world but he is looking to cause an upset when Guinea come up against four time AFCON champions.
The two sides played each other twice in the qualifiers with the Black Stars edging out the Sylli Nationale over the two legs,1-1 and 3-1 respectively.
This is not lost on the respected Guinean manager but for him, the tournament is a different ball game altogether.
“When you emerge out of a group that comprises Cameroon, Cote D’Ivoire and Mali, you have got to fancy your chances and believe that you can go very far. Not too many pundits and you the international press here would have given us a chance of making it out of the group but here we are.
We are prepared to give our all just like we did in our three group games. If we take our chances, a semi-final place is possible. Against a Ghana team that has one of the best strikers in the world like Asamoah Gyan, our defenders and the entire team would have to be on guard all through the game. He only needs a half chance to make a difference.
The Sylli Nationale would play the Black Stars at the Estadio Nuevo de Malabo at 16:00 on Sunday with a semi-final place at stake.
