The Dzemeni Market, one of the biggest and busiest markets in the Volta Region and located in the South Dayi District has no single toilet facility.
The traders who are angry about the situation say the District Assembly always takes taxes from them.
As if the lack of toilet facilities is not enough, the traders are also complaining about the inadequate spaces provided for them at the market.
They allege they pay huge sums of monies for those stores and yet they are unable to keep their wares in the stores due largely to lack of space.
The traders are calling on government to intervene, especially on the issue of poor sanitation and lack of toilet facilities.
The fear of a looming cholera outbreak if nothing is done about the situation.
