Mr Kenneth Dzirasah, Former First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, was on Thursday sworn-in as Chairman of the Ghana Refugee Board.
Also sworn into office was Mr Reuben Edmund Nii Korley Okine, an Assistant Director at the Ministry of Interior, as Secretary to the Auctioneers' Registration Board.
Mr Martin A.B.K. Amidu, Out-going Minister of the Interior administered the Oaths of Office, Allegiance and Secrecy in Accra.
Mr Amidu urged Mr Dzirasah to bring his rich experience gained in the public service to bear in repositioning the Board to deliver effectively on its mandate.
Mr Dzirasah, a legal practitioner and Former National Democratic Congress Member of Parliament for North Tongu, pledged his commitment to work in concert with all stakeholders to transform the Board to surmount any challenges facing it.
Present was Mr Kofi Porturphy, National Coordinator of National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) and Acting Chairman of the Board.Source: GNA
