Engr. Ebenezer Kwadjo Dankyi has been formally inducted as a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) at the 2024 CILT Conference and Annual General Meeting, held from 22-24 October 2024 at Wesley Towers, Accra.
This honour acknowledges Dankyi's three-decade-long commitment to advancing the automotive sector and transport logistics, solidifying his influence in Ghana and beyond.
Engr. Dankyi's induction marks a milestone in his distinguished career as a practising engineer, consultant, founder, and lecturer.
As the visionary behind Automobile Engineering and Technical Services (AETS), he has established pioneering services addressing the needs of internal combustion engine vehicles (ICEVs), hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), and electric vehicles (EVs).
Through AETS, he has launched initiatives that prioritize customer satisfaction, promote innovation, and pave the way for the future of automotive engineering.
Engr. Dankyi’s journey to becoming a prominent figure in automotive engineering began humbly in his teens. As a young man, he worked as a tyre service professional and "roadside" mechanic, which sparked his passion for vehicle engineering. This desire for expertise led him to the Mercedes-Benz GNTC Technical Institute in Osu, Accra, where he gained foundational knowledge in automotive systems and vehicle technology.
Dankyi's educational journey reflects his commitment to continuous improvement, with studies spanning several prestigious institutions, including Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, Ghana, and the Great Lakes Institute of Management in New Delhi, India. He completed programs in Mechanical Engineering and Electric Vehicle Design Engineering, respectively, focusing on traction batteries, traction motors, battery management systems, and motor controllers for electric vehicles.
Dankyi’s dedication to automotive engineering is evident in his impressive body of projects, research, and industry publications. His work has tackled critical areas in automotive technology, offering guidance on emerging challenges and promoting best practices within the industry.
Some of his significant research achievements and projects include: “Electric Motor Design, Advanced Power Converters, Battery Modeling, Control Systems, and Power Converters for Electric Vehicle Applications” (2024), “Analysis of Automotive Controller Area Network System, Common Faults, Investigation, and Repair” (2020), “Design and Construction of Automobile Test Bench for Testing, Repairing, and Remapping of Vehicle Immobilizer Systems” (2015), and “Layout of a Motor Vehicle Service Station, Safety, and Pollution Control” (1998).
Beyond technical research, Engr. Dankyi has authored insightful articles on topics such as comprehensive diagnostics, which is key to accurate problem-solving in modern vehicle repairs, and the adoption challenges of electric vehicles in Ghana.
His article, "Navigating the Impact of Electric Vehicles on Ghana's Socio-Economic Landscape," highlights opportunities and challenges for EV integration, providing valuable insights for stakeholders in Ghana’s developing electric vehicle market.

Dankyi’s induction as a Chartered Member of CILT is a testament to his visionary leadership and sustained commitment to advancing automotive engineering and transport logistics.
