The Chairman of the Electoral Commission, Dr Kwadwo Afari-Gyan is holding a closed door meeting with Parliament to explain its preparations towards the elections.
He is expected to tell the House challenges they are facing and explain what informed the creation of new constituencies.
Meanwhile the Minority Leader in Parliament, Osei Kyei-Mensah Bonsu is questioning the basis for the creation of new constituencies by the Election Commission.
The EC has announced there will be at least 45 more constituencies for the elections this December following the creation of new districts by government.
Even though Mr. Mensah Bonsu concedes the constitution says no member of parliament should be responsible for more than one district, he says other factors such as the population quota must also be taken into consideration.
