The Electoral Commission, (EC) has embarked on an exercise to issue photo identity cards to registered voters who could not be issued with photo IDs during the recent limited registration exercise.
The EC has consequently issued thousands of forms to various registration centres for the documentation of duly registered voters who could not be issued the IDs.
The present exercise which started today, is expected to close on September 16, and registered voters are expected to confirm their registration by presenting slips they were issued during the limited registration exercise.
Prospective voters without the required slip will not be allowed to take part in the photo exercise, and will subsequently miss out on the December elections.
