Mr. Kwabena Agyemang-Badu, Nkoranza District Director of education, on Thursday urged students to learn hard to ensure that investments being made in their education by their parents and government did not become a waste.
He also asked them to use their time judiciously to enable them achieve their educational goals.
The District Director of Education was addressing more than 900 students of Nkoranza Secondary Technical School at Nkoranza, in the district.
Mr. Agyemen-Badu expressed regret that some students reported to school late, saying the practice would have an adverse effect on their academic performance.
He also cautioned students against pre-marital sex and alcoholism and appealed to the teachers to discipline offending students to serve as deterrent to others.
Mr. Agyeman-Badu urged also teachers to improve upon their knowledge and skills to facilitate teaching and learning.
Mr. Frank Yeboah, assistant headmaster in-charge of academic affairs of the school, commended Mr Agyeman-Badu for the visit and advice to the students.
