The former Central Regional Minister, Mr. Isaac Edumadze has filed a case of intrusion against the Daily Graphic Cape Coast Correspondent Joe Okyere.
He accused the Graphic reporter of entering his premises without permission.
Mr. Adumadze has been accused of assaulting, Joe Okyere and Philip Baidoo of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation.
He is currently under investigation by the Central Regional police.
But New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam Constituency has denied any wrong doing.
He was reported to have gone berserk after losing the constituency’s primaries on Sunday and attacked the two journalists who had gone to his house to greet him.
Mr. Edumadze explained he saw Joe Okyere in his house who started running away but he questioned why the reporter was running away upon seeing him.
He asked why Mr. Okyere was running away if he was a genuine person who had no ill motives for coming to the house.
He told Joy News the assault reports against him were fabricated to further tarnish his image.
Mr. Edumadze who lost his party’s primaries at the weekend accused the media of portraying him as a violent person.
“The way they describe me in the media if I were like that wouldn’t I have lost my seat a long time ago? He asked.
While he is being investigated, he says he wants the journalists also investigated.
Meanwhile the Daily Graphic says it is still looking into the matter.
