Eight year old girl has died after she was defiled by a 55 year old man in Enchi in the Western Region.
The suspect Enoch Asante defiled the girl on the 14th of September but she died on Friday, September 27th after complaining of pains in her abdomen.
Her body has since been deposited at the Enchi Government Hospital morgue.
The man is on remand at Enchi police station on provisional charge of defilement.
Chief Inspector Abban Koomson tells Joy News the suspect will be arraigned on October 9.
He also hinted of fresh charges to be levelled against Enoch Asante after the sudden death of the victim.
