Police at Ejisu in the Ashanti Region are due to arraign before court 24 year old spiritualist and five others for an alleged attempt to sacrifice a teenage girl for riches.
Chana Nelson, also known as K-Grusi and his accomplices, natives of Atia in the Ejisu-Juabeng Municipality were picked up following a complaint filed by the 17 year old girl who had escaped from their grip.
The victim, whose name is being withheld, told Nhyira FM a male friend, Nana Ahenkan, lured her from her Manhyia home to what is believed to be K-Grusi's shrine, Saturday.
She claimed Ahenkan asked her to accompany him to a friend who had promised to lend him some money.
The teenager, however, ended up at a cemetery where the spiritualist allegedly used razor blade to inflict multiple cuts on her and applied a concoction to the wounds on her arms. She spent almost a day at the shrine.
She said the suspects drew blood from wounds and mixed with another concoction in a calabash, which they later smeared in her hair.
The victim said whilst in detention, she overheard her captors, discussing what they will use the money for if the sacrifice was successful.
Ahenkan allegedly told the spiritualist that he would by a 4-wheel drive and also promised to buy a Range Rover for the spiritualist as a token of gratitude.
According to the victim, she was overwhelmed and pleaded with the her captors to allow her to go and urinate around 2:00 am, Sunday.
She however managed to escape even though an escort had been detailed to keep an eye on her.
She said she suspects planned on killing her.
Angered by the alleged nefarious activities of the spiritualist, some residents of Atia broke into his room and vandalized property and destroyed all potential evidence.
The door to the room had been left ajar whilst personal belongings remain scattered at the entrance and inside the room.
K-Grusi, a driver’s apprentice who has been operating without a license has denied the allegations of attempted human sacrifice.
He told Nhyira News the girl’s boyfriend had sent her to him for money to abort a non-existent pregnancy.
Meanwhile, police say the alleged ordeal the girl suffered in the hands of the suspects is enough grounds to prosecute them.
