The Ejisu Presby Junior High School (JHS) won an inter-schools quiz competition organised by the Ejisu Juaben District Directorate of Education for all the JHS in the Ejisu Circuit on Monday.
Speaking to GNA after the quiz, Mr. Ebenezer Bekoe, Ejisu Circuit Supervisor, said the competition, which covered all the subjects being studied at the JHS level, was to assess the performance of both the teachers and students.
He commended all the participating schools for demonstrating high academic standards during the competition.
Mr. Bekoe said the Directorate would continue to organise such programmes for students periodically to motivate them to learn hard.
Some of the schools, which took part in the competition, were Ejisu District Assembly, Ejisu Roman Catholic, Krapa JHS, Asotwe JHS, Besease District Assembly JHS and Ejisu Presby JHS.
The students commended the organizers of the programme and urged them to sustain it.
