emPLE has reinforced its growing cultural and community footprint across West Africa after successfully completing its participation in ART X Lagos 2025, returning as a Bronze Sponsor and Presenting Partner for one of the fair’s headline Special Projects.
ART X Lagos 2025 took place from November 6 to 9 at The Federal Palace, Lagos.

The move underscores the company’s commitment to strengthening resilience, creativity, and sustainable development across the region.
This year, the insurance and financial services brand supported “Where There Is Life, There Is Hope (B’á ò kú, iṣẹ ò tán)”, a powerful installation by celebrated artist Temitayo Ogunbiyi and curated by Missla Libsekal.

Presented during the 10th anniversary edition of ART X Lagos, the work invited audiences to reflect on how creativity, movement, and care can inspire more equitable futures.
Through her multidisciplinary practice, spanning drawing, sculpture, and site-specific installation, Ogunbiyi explored the deep ties between people, the environments they inhabit, and the ecological systems that sustain daily life.

Speaking on the collaboration, emPLE’s Managing Director, Olalekan Oyinade, said the partnership aligns with the brand’s mission to empower communities.
“At emPLE, we view insurance as a platform for possibility. By supporting creativity that advances sustainability, we reaffirm our belief in outcomes shaped through collaboration.

"As we expand our engagement across the continent, we remain committed to helping communities shape futures defined by resilience, innovation, and shared responsibility.”
The 10th edition of ART X Lagos attracted thousands of visitors, many of whom engaged closely with Ogunbiyi’s installation and its themes of movement, hope, and collective care.
The piece stood among other commissioned works that celebrated African cultural expression and marked a milestone year for the continent’s premier international art fair.

Founder and Chairman of ART X Lagos, Tokini Peterside-Schwebig, praised the partnership.
“We’re delighted to have partnered once again with emPLE. Their commitment to sustainability, community, and regional impact aligns powerfully with ART X Lagos’ mission.
"Together, we created a platform that encouraged reflection while advancing conversations that resonate not only in Nigeria, but across the continent.”

emPLE’s support for the Special Project reflects the organisation’s broader strategy to amplify storytelling, nurture creativity, and promote sustainable development across West Africa.
It also embodies the company’s INSPIRE values, Integrity, Nurture, Service, Purpose, Innovation, Respect, and Excellence, and its belief in creativity as a catalyst for shared futures on the continent.
