A 21-foot python which had been preying on domestic animals and birds at Sokode-Gbogame near Ho in the Volta Region has been killed by the youth in the community.According to the leader of the vigilante youth, Mr. Manfred Kwame Golo, the disappearance of fowls and goats had become rampant in the village, as a result of which the youth mounted a surveillance to track down the perpetrators only to find the huge python as the culprit.At the time the python was caught, it had swallowed a goat which was used by the youth as bait.A lot of people thronged the scene to catch a glimpse of the long snake whose stomach was protruding with the swallowed goat.Source: Daily Graphic
