The Accra Metropolitan Assembly has been ordered to stop dumping human waste in the Korle Gono Beach in Accra.
The order follows a suit brought against the AMA and its Chief Executive, Mr. Alfred Oko Vanderpuije, by the Environmental Protection Agency (APA).
Justice K A Ofori-Atta who presided over the case said, "It is ordered that the [AMA and its Chief Executive] should refrain from dumping raw liquid sewerage on the Korle Gono Beach [popularly called Lavender Hill]."
